Vacation Week & Writing Update 📚

Welp, so much for pretending to be a full-time author this week. Womp womp.

I did get a ton of things done around the house that I had been putting off since we moved in, so it wasn’t a total loss. But absolutely no writing got done.

Okay, two sentences got written which have since been edited out.

I keep reminding myself, baby steps, though. I’m not gonna build this super spectacular writing routine in a week.

Baby steps.

I’m at Mr. Smiths Coffee House as I write this. I thought I might be able to try writing in public (I’ve done it in the past), but it’s the sex scene and it turns out I can’t write that in public 😅

Halloween was a wash last night. I didn’t get a single trick-or-treater, though I thought that might happen considering there are only three houses over here and we’re surrounded by churches. I don’t think my neighbors were even home. I think next year I’ll advertise LOL.

Week Ahead 👩🏻‍💻

I’m back to work on Monday and plan to be back to writing fiction as well. I seem to be more focused in the evening after work. I’ll continue that trend and see where it takes me.

I’m decorating for Christmas/Yule so there are things everywhere today. I want to get that done this weekend so I don’t have to worry about spending the whole month slowly decorating only to take it down a few weeks later. Time flies the older I get!
